Our lives have become so wrapped up in our screens. Computers have become our workstations. Phones have become our “go to” place for answers to anything we want to know, and also our “go to” place to tune out whenever we are bored or stressed. Video games have become totally addictive to so many people. TV steals so much of our time, and eating in front of the TV has almost totally replaced family dinners around a table.
I have been going through nature withdrawals lately, and yesterday I really needed to get away, so I went for a drive to Yosemite National Park, and hiked the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls. I really felt called to do this trip, partially to re-energize my batteries and partially to challenge a fear within me. My legs are totally sore today, but it was an incredible journey and left me with many awesome memories. Today we are going to talk about the importance of getting away from our screens and into nature, and then I’m going to take you with me on my journey into Yosemite, and on to Vernal Falls.
